Worker Attitudes

90% of companies reported that worker attitudes are either good or excellent. Furthermore, they reported that turnover and drug incidence is low, and absenteeism and tardiness are manageable.

The analysis is based upon interviews conducted by PFResources, site selection consultants, with senior management and human relations professionals from local companies in each of the counties in the survey area (Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill, Wayne and Wyoming Counties). Each of these companies operates in the industrial, commercial, or service sector, and the interview sampling was sufficiently large to make valid workforce judgments. The interviews and these findings are part of the report, Verification of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Workforce, from November 1999.
