-- (05/16/2002) -- The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute announces its annual Survivors Celebration at Montage, Sunday, June 9 from 1-4 p.m. This year’s theme “Life’s a Party” commemorates the 10th anniversary of the event in honor of all people in Northeastern Pennsylvania who cope with cancer. The Cancer Institute is also celebrating the 10th year of meeting cancer needs of residents in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

“While celebrating 10 years is an important milestone for the Cancer Institute, we’re most proud of the survivors and their milestones,” said Bob Durkin, president of the Institute. “Many of them return for Survivors Celebration year after year, and more and more are marking 10, 20, 30, and even 40 years of survivorship. It gives us great satisfaction to be able to honor them for this achievement.”
