THE LION BREWERY RECEIVES SILVER MEDAL RATING

The Wilkes-Barre brewery received two silver medal ratings during the 2001 World Beer Championships, an annual beer competition conducted by the international Beverage Tasting Institute. This is the third silver medal rating in 2001 from the World Beer Championships. The brewery was recognized in the Porter Category for Brewery Hill Caramel Porter and Stegmaier Porter. Brewery Hill Caramel Porter is a five-time winner in the championships. Stegmaier Porter is a three-time winner.
