NATIONAL TEAM EXCELLENCE COMPETITION KICKS OFF
-- (09/23/2002)
-- The Association for Quality and Participation has launched its 17th Annual National Team Excellence Competition. The Competition features a unique live final round at AQP's 25th Annual Conference, February 24-26, 2003 in New Orleans, LA. The Gold, Silver and Bronze Team Excellence Awards will be presented to the top three teams that most clearly and effectively demonstrate the principles and techniques of improving quality through participation within a business or organization. This contest is the only one of its kind to feature a live round of competition.
The strength of the Six Sigma process merged very easily into the AQP team excellence criteria with their strength in people issues - stakeholder interests, goal alignment, and buy-in to ensure an outcome that exceeds stakeholder expectations. Six Sigma and AQP made for a great union of methodologies," said Tony DeMartino, team leader of the 2002 Gold-medal winning Merrill Lynch team. |
