  • Chelsea English Chelsea English

    Chelsea English is the Marketing Manager for SERVPRO of Wyoming County/Kingston Township, a damage restoration company specializing in water damage, fire damage, mold remediation, and commercial and residential cleaning. She first began her career with the company in October, 2016 after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications from The Pennsylvania State University Wilkes-Barre Campus in May of 2016.

    Chelsea has previously been employed as Marketing Coordinator at Salisbury Management, Inc. and Marketing and Event Coordinator at The Apple Tree Terrace. She currently volunteers with the Wilkes-Barre and Wyoming County Chambers, Northeast Sight Services, and various other non-profit organizations throughout NEPA.

    In her free time, Chelsea enjoys writing, cooking, studying massage therapy, shopping, and spending time with her family, friends, and Golden Retriever, Sophie. She looks forward to vacationing in Long Beach Island and Cape May, NJ with her families every summer.

    Chelsea treasures the opportunities and mentors she has had throughout her career so far, and is honored to be welcomed to the Chamber Ambassador team, where she looks forward to persistently and passionately giving back to her community and those around her. 

  • Linda Rowe Linda Rowe

    Linda Rowe is a local photographer and the founder of Anchor Me Photography. Linda is employed by Geisinger Health Plan, as a Sales Account Executive. Channeling her passion for helping others and the positive outlook of Northeast PA, Linda serves as a board member for the Riverfront Parks Committee, Misericordia’s Bourger Women with Children Program as well as member of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber Women’s Network Council, is a Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber Ambassador, and an outright community cheerleader.

    Her leadership and volunteer work extend through, Leadership Wilkes-Barre, the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Auxiliary, as well as helping several other causes by participating in event planning work groups or securing donations.

    Linda’s interests and hobbies are finding off-the-beaten-path beautiful places, sewing & crafting, learning new technologies, and car dancing. 

  • Kathi Bankes Kathi Bankes

    At the member-driven Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce, Kathi Bankes resides as a Chamber Ambassador as well as an active member of the Chamber since 2001 and a member of Women's Network Council. Since 2016, Kathi has performed the duties of Private Dining Manager at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse where she oversees the execution of high-end private events at the area's most successful, high-volume restaurant. In addition to superior hospitality, Kathi prides herself on the work she does with people: developing team members and cultivating relationships with guests. 

    Her volunteer service and community involvement showcases her passionate commitment to remaining connected to the public. For the past 5 years, Kathi has served as Chair of the Board for the American Red Cross Wyoming Valley Chapter. Other organizations where she is on the board include Ballet Northeast and Association of the Blind Luzerne County. At the non-profit organization, Wyoming Valley Children's Association, Kathi is the Co-Chair of the Auction Committee for the Annual Fundraising Gala. Her charitable dedication to the community and commitment to the commonwealth earned her a nomination at the EPIC Awards in 2016, where she humbly accepted the distinguished title of Volunteer of the Year.

    Kathi resides in Exeter, Pa with her husband Dave, she has 3 children, John Baldino-Wife Rachael, Shauna Baldino Turlip-Husband Michael Turlip, and Kelsey Tyson – Wife Marin Matioli Tyson. Her grandchildren are the light of her life, Brady Turlip 4.5 , Meryn, Cooper & Caroline Turlip, two 1.5 year old triplets.

    She loves having all her family for Sunday dinners and spending time with her many siblings and their families. 

     

  • Anthony Melf Anthony Melf

    He is known to be optimistic, energetic and innovative: Anthony Melf works as an Out-of-School Youth Specialist for ResCare Workforce Services at the PA CareerLink® in Wilkes-Barre. He serves young adults between the ages of 17 and 24 years old with placement in employment and enrollment in postsecondary education. During their time in the program, Anthony supports students as they pursue their GED/High School Equivalency Diploma. He strategizes with them to develop goal plans and coordinates work experiences for them with local businesses.

    Since January 2016, Anthony is a member of the Young Professionals Council for the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce. He was also nominated for the 2016 Young Professional of the Year Award as sponsored by the Chamber. Always seeking professional development, Anthony strives to be better so he can add more value in his given role whether it be in the office or in his community. Anthony was selected as a participant and completed ResCare’s corporate leadership training including time at headquarters in Louisville, KY. He worked with partner agencies at the PA CareerLink® to develop and implement new customer-centered procedures for a welcome center in the building.

    Anthony is an advocate for young adults and he firmly believes in their ability to find satisfaction in their career choices while positively contributing to the communities in which they live.

    In his spare time, Anthony enjoys following professional tennis, challenging friends at The Game Chateau, and spending time with his family, especially his role as uncle to his nephew Gabriel. 

  • Mike McGinley Mike McGinley

    Mike McGinley is the Times Leader Media Group’s Major Accounts Executive and Digital Strategist, working across a variety of industries at the national and local levels to help businesses exceed their marketing goals.

    Born and raised in Kingston, Mike attended King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, graduating with a degree in Mass Communications and Media Technologies.  He began his career as a writer with the Times Leader, before working at digital agencies Solid Cactus and Pepperjam.  In 2016, Mike was a featured speaker at SMX West, an expert-led marketing conference in San Jose, California. 

    Mike returned to the Times Leader in his new role in September of 2017 and is a supporter of many community events and area nonprofits.

    He also serves as a board member for Wilkes-Barre POWER! – a professional networking group with a membership of more than 150.

  • Jessica Bienkowski Jessica Bienkowski

    Jessica Bienkowski is a Certified Sales Executive for FASTSIGNS in Wilkes-Barre, located on Kidder Street. She started in 2011. Signs and visual graphics make the world a more interesting and organized place. They can be used to communicate messages in a variety of places and to all of your key audiences – customers, visitors, students, employees, patients and more. FASTSIGNS provides comprehensive solutions to your visual communications challenges and opportunities. Jessica has an Associate’s Degree obtained from Luzerne County Community College in 2013.

    In her free time, Jessica likes to travel, shop, garden, and spend time with family, friends and boyfriend. She also has a love for Jeep Wranglers. She is the proud owner of a 2002 Plum Crazy Purple Wrangler (#plumcrazytj) and is an antique car/truck enthusiast. She is a serious dog lover, especially her Newfoundland, Luna. Jessica is honored to be an Ambassador to the Chamber and is looking forward to spending more of her time bettering the community.
     
  • Chris Bohinski Chris Bohinski

    Chris Bohinski recently worked with the Special Guest App founded by Kris Jones & Damon Wayans, Jr. Chris, also known as Boh the Smile Guy,  enjoys making people happy and aims to show basic human kindness to everyone he meets. He moved to New York City after graduating college with degrees in chemistry and music & theatre, and most recently has moved back home to northeastern Pennsylvania to help his mother on her road to recovery after receiving chemotherapy for a recent health diagnosis. Along with daily smiling with his Momma Boh, Chris frequently travels to New York City to film #SmileStory interview videos for his smile mission, NYC Smile 4 MeNYC Smile 4 Me's mission is to spread happiness, positivity, and joy by chronicling Boh the Smile Guy asking the same 4-word question to everyone he meets,“What makes you smile?” Chris also creatively engages his smile stories into other mediums including print and radio. Some of Chris’s recent achievements have been showcasing his glass breaking skill (yes, Chris can break a wine glass with his unaided singing voice) on NBC’s The Today Show, printed featured articles in The New York Post (including features chronicling Chris’s 120lb. weight loss), and speaking roles on various network television programs on National Geographic and Discovery Science networks.
  • Amber Loomis Amber Loomis

    Amber Loomis is the Chief Advancement Officer at Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania, a non-profit organization right in the heart of Wilkes-Barre, whose mission is to provide diverse services to children, individuals, seniors, and families, empowering them to achieve their full potential. Prior to coming on board at Family Service in 2016, you may remember her face or voice from our local PBS and NPR station, WVIA, where she worked in the Membership Department for six years. 

    She currently serves on the board of directors for Dress for Success Luzerne County and the Association of Fundraising Professionals-NEPA Chapter. Amber also serves on the Young Professionals committee as well as multiple committees for Leadership Wilkes-Barre. When Amber is not busy planning the next exciting fundraising event or volunteering her time at various community happenings, you can usually find her out and about with her friends or with her pup, Lexi. 

  • Ryan K. Hertel Ryan K. Hertel

    Entrepreneur, brand developer and social media specialist, Ryan Hertel had launched three businesses by the time he reached the age of 23. Having been the co-owner of an entertainment booking/marketing management company for three and a half years, Ryan decided to simplify things and focus on another passion of his, DJing and producing music. But now, the 24-year-old is the owner/operator of a creative media company, Socialocca that emerged organically through self-taught skills and interests. Ryan is also the creative director of a social media growth service, Tree Frog, which he launched in 2017 alongside his business partner. Ryan travels back and forth between his companies and clients in New York City, Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania.
