About This Session: Viewpoint Diversity: Break on Through to the Other Side
Viewpoint diversity is the recognition that nobody's worldview is complete and no one marker of identity actually defines the way we see the world around us. It is one of the most important, least-discussed types of diversity, and very well may be the needed gateway into more difficult discussions that are relevant for people to have in any type of organization. Viewpoint diversity helps us better understand ourselves and others, including our strengths, biases, and inherent fallibility. This understanding then allows us to truly engage in conversations surrounding the topics of other important kinds of diversity, belonging, and inclusion. Get ready for a positive and provocative starting point to begin the essential work we have ahead.
