Young Professionals Virtual Networking: a fun and creative way of networking with other local Young Professionals while practicing social distancing.
Join us for a virtual networking event to help break up your workday. We want to hear from you, whether you're a self-care activist or a foodie, or if you have binged too much Netflix during "Social Distancing" to be proud of, switch up your routine and connect with your YP Network! To ensure that everyone has an opportunity to share during this event, we've broken up the event into four different topics, limiting the attendance to 10 per topic. Our four networking topics include Self-Care, Entertainment, Hobbies, & Noms.
In an effort to combat "Zoom Hackers," after registering you will receive a confirmation email containing a Zoom meeting invite.
See below for topic descriptions. When registering for the event, please select the topic of your choice.
Share different methods of self-care that you have been practicing during social distancing. What are some resources that you could recommend for others? This session will be led by Holly Pilcavage, CEO of Coal Creative and Chair of the #ElevateYP Network.
What is the last thing you binged watched? Tell us about the Books, Podcasts, Shows, or Movies, that has brought you some levity during the past couple weeks. What are your recommendations? This session will be led by Lindsay Griffin, COO of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce.
Light and fun questions that circles around hobbies, personal interests, and forces you to use your imagination to break the ice and get to know each other better. Such as " If you knew you were going into quarantine and could only have THREE items, what would they be and why?" This session will be led by Anthony Melf, Instructor/Career Navigator at EDSI Solutions and the Vice-Chair of #ElevateYP Network.
What are some fun food recipes you've experimented with during quarantine? Where have you been getting take out? Have you discovered new restaurants while in quarantine? How else you can support local businesses? This session will be led by Ahmad Ali, Program and Membership Manager at the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce.
