About Our Speaker:
We've all experienced work-related stress -- a looming deadline, a demanding boss, an over-flowing in-box. But most of us just slog through the stress. Not Jennifer Ciarimboli. After nearly a decade of success in corporate sales in the telecommunications industry, she suffered from burnout, trained to be a yoga teacher and transformed her life. Recently, Jenn founded studio BE which brings meditation and other mindfulness-based practices, techniques, and tools directly to corporate teams.
An expert teacher and dedicated practitioner of meditation and yoga, Jenn has dedicated her time, energy, and practice to deep studies in yin yoga, Buddha dharma (the teachings of the Buddha), spiritual inquiry, and mindfulness meditation. Reflecting on her long career in corporate sales, she recognized that if she had learned some of the methods and techniques of mindfulness meditation years ago, she might have been better able to manage her stress in a healthier
way. From this insight, studio BE was born.
The Spotlight program features quarterly events that provide an opportunity for industry leaders, entrepreneurs and students in NEPA to meet, discuss, and identify potential partnerships. Each event features a fifteen-minute presentation from an entrepreneur– our version of TED Talks, while also highlighting some of our up-and-coming local businesses and entrepreneurs.
Spotlight is coordinated by the Diamond City Partnership and sponsored by Penn State Wilkes-Barre, through the INVENT Penn State Initiative. Launched in 2015 by Penn State President Dr. Eric Barron, INVENT Penn State is a Commonwealth-wide initiative to spur economic development, job creation, and student career success.
Spotlight is FREE to attend, but requires each attendee to register prior to the event.
