  • Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA Postpones Kentucky Derby Gala

    03/24/2020, WILKES-BARRE – Because of the COVID-19 crisis, the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA has postponed its Kentucky Derby Gala. The gala, originally scheduled for May 2nd, will now be held on Friday, October 2nd.
    The event, which will support the mission of the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA, will begin with cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m. followed by race viewing and wagering. Dinner and dancing will follow. A trip raffle and silent auction will also be featured.
    Kathleen Dunsmuir and Barbara Maculloch are co-chairs of the event.
